    Description

PromoterMunicipality of Vila Nova de FamalicãoBrief IntroductionPoetics of the Word I Theater Encounters Chapter 3The text, the word, the voice, the work of an actor, are the central foundations of these theater meetings. We want to highlight this universe of complicit elements, what we understand as the essence, the ontology, of the theater. We intend to highlight the interpretation, the relationship between technique, intimate and subjective feeling of creative conviction and the consolidation of the character, as an inseparable process of a demanding personal work, which is physical and inexhaustible and inexhaustible study. At the end of each presentation, we will have a conversation with the actors who lead each theatrical project, in the sense that we can know the work, concrete, about the text, the word and its relationship with the body (which gives it voice), and the process of construction of each character. In this third chapter, we will have four projects: The LOVER of Harold Pinter, with interpretation of Custody Gallego and Virgilio Castelo, in a staging by Albano Jerónimo and Cláudia Lucas Chéu; VÂNIA, with text and staging by Luís Mestre from Anton Chekhov, David Mamet and Howard Barker and with interpretation by Ana Moreira and António Durães; AIRBNB AND NUVENS, a radio novel with text by Luísa Costa Gomes, staging by Manuel Tur and interpretation of Diana Sá, Eduardo Breda, João Castro, Pedro Almendra and Teresa Arcanjo; TO CROSS WITH YOU THE DESERT OF THE WORLD, a creation of the interpreters Lucia Moniz and Pedro Lamares; WAKE-UP, from Wake Up And Smell The Coffee by Eric Bogosian, a co-creation of António Afonso Parra & Luís Araújo, with interpretation by António Afonso Parra.VÂNIA Teatro30 and 31 October, Friday and Saturday, 21:30Grand AuditoriumEntrance: 4 euros / Quadcard, Students and Seniors: 2 eurosM/14 yearsDuration: 60 minutesText by Louis Mestre from Anton Tchékhov, David Mamet and Howard BarkerThe journey of rewriting the timeless text Uncle Vânia by Anton Chekhov by playwright and director Louis Mestre is not due by the end of the 19th century. Having as reference points the long moment in which time seems to freeze the blue hour and the golden hour the characters impregnated by boredom and laziness, devoid of hope, are assaulted by emotions and words, dialogue, speak of themselves, and share their relationship with life and the absurdity of the human condition. The characters in this intimate drama are Elena, who wants to get drunk with life; Serebriakov, a man who wants nothing to do with life; Sonia, a young woman who sees life reflected; Astrov, who sees life disappear; and Vania, a woman who gets drunk with life.
