    Description

PromoterMunicipal Theatre Joaquim BeniteBrief IntroductionCreated from the five short plays by Harold Pinter (1930-2008) The night, New world order, That's it, The candidate and Victoria Station, the show lives not only from the genius of the dialogues written by the poet and playwright to whom the Swedish Academy handed the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2005, but also of the role played by nonverbal language and the interstices of the words actions , but also words chained succinctly and rarefiedly, between deafening silences. In all these dramolets emerges a discursive thought through which the author shows the inadequacy of rationality to understand the lack of meaning of the human condition, the arrogance exerted on the helpless, the absurdity of everyday life and the existential emptiness. Based on those that were the great themes of Pinter among which stand out the illusions of human comedy and the violence of states on individuals, here are a handful of stories so present about ordinary people, fragile, lonely, besieged and oppressed. With dramaturgy and staging of Mário primo, they merely expose violence and human suffering in different aspects and universal, distant and contemporary realities, seeking to interchange the public through a universe of uncertainties, contradictions, lies, inventions. The Theatre of the Absurd to shine in all its contemporaneity, which no new paradigm seems to be able to pinch, in such a way hopelessness dominates the world. Will you have a warm cup of tea?
